Certificate Programs
The Intercultural Institute of California offers an exceptional blend of certificate programs catered to meet the interests and needs of both San Francisco and international community members.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
From basic communication skills to academic class preparation, IIC offers a wide range of ESL classes to California residents and foreign students on two campuses. Through ESL courses ranging from conversation, reading, and writing to Short Stories, Literature, Slang and Idioms, American Culture, and TOEFL/TOEIC, IIC’s students enrich their academic and cultural experiences in the United States. IIC’s qualified instructors have many years of experience in teaching ESL and/or have advanced degrees in Teaching English to the Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

Korean Language Program (KLP)
IIC offers a variety of Korean language classes, from basic grammar to advanced conversation, from basic grammar to advanced conversation, for those who want to learn about Korea and its language and culture. Conveniently scheduled once a week in the evenings, KLP is perfect for working adults as well as students seeking to further their academic, professional, or personal goals. Private tutoring is also available on a flexible schedule to meet the student’s needs. All instructors possess or qualify for advanced degrees in education and Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language (TKFL).
